Back when the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) was in its original run (I still have yet to acquire an SNES Classic Edition), JVC and Lucasarts released a trio of games based on the Original Star Wars Trilogy. Super Star Wars (1992), Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1993) and Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1994) rank among my favorite games for that system, and now there’s a new video that recalls the excitement of those titles. From 16-bit animator John Stratman, here’s Luke Skywalker facing off against Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Last Jedi… in classic SNES style!

Now, if this looks a little familiar, you may have seen Stratman’s work over at JoBlo in their 8-Bit Trailers series, in which he crafts game-style trailers for a ton of pop culture icons.
