After the masterful handling of the week-early trailer leak for MARVEL’s AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, a lot of folks wondered what then would become of the promised sneak-preview that was slated to air with tonight’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC? Walt Disney Studios answered that with “A Special Look” at the upcoming film, and one that capped a fantastic day for fans of the MARVEL Cinematic Universe. Take a peek…
So why was it such a great day? The Phase 3 Plan for the MARVEL Cinematic Universe has been revealed with the official announcement of ten (10) new movies that will be released between now and 2019, fully complimenting the already ten-deep MARVEL library. This type of cross platform, interlocking cinematic continuity is absolutely unlike anything in movie history…
The announced films are as follows:
- 5/1/15 – AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON
- 7/17/15 – ANT-MAN
- 5/6/16 – CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR
- 11/4/16 – DOCTOR STRANGE
- 5/5/17 – GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2 (previously dated 7/28/17)
- 7/28/17 – THOR: RAGNAROK
- 11/3/17 – BLACK PANTHER
- 5/4/18 – AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR PART I
- 7/6/18 – CAPTAIN MARVEL
- 11/2/18 – INHUMANS
- 5/3/19 – AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR PART II
This news makes me want to find a new agent and throw the acting cap back on so I can audition for, and subsequently not be hired for some of these. If I ever do get back into that world, I need a superhero movie on my resume.
Stay tuned for more MARVEL news as I have it, right here on THE ROCK FATHER!
