When seeking out that perfect holiday gift, I always find that it’s much easier to shop for kids than it is for grownups. I even make it hard for my loved ones to shop for me (and they know that they don’t have to) because I don’t really ask for anything and find it hard to come up with ideas. But since I’m always on the lookout for new products that will be useful and make life easier in new and sometimes unexpected ways, I get excited when I find something truly awesome that could really be great for a lot of people. The WORX Pegasus Work Table and Sawhorse fits the bill – and that’s because it’s not just great for DIY’ers, contractors and those who work in construction. There’s a lot of potential for use by almost anyone, from crafters and model makers to photographers, artists and everyday homeowners who could use a proper work space that’s rugged, portable and easy-to-use.
WORX makes some cool stuff, and I’ve featured some of their products here on the site before – like when I did this trellis project back in 2016. They’re one of those companies that I keep an eye on because they come up with genuine solutions to every day problems by providing products that do exactly what they’re supposed to. Now this Pegasus Work Table and Sawhorse… I wish I’d known about this when we were building the new deck here last year. I’d actually purchased a pair of regular WORX Sawhorses, but the Pegasus is in a whole different realm.
Officially, WORX says this: “Worktable? Sawhorse? Both! Strong yet compact, the Pegasus table instantly converts from a clamping work table supporting 300 lbs. to a 1,000-lb. capacity sawhorse. The lightweight design means it’s easy to bring your Pegasus portable workbench wherever it’s needed. The foldable work table’s quick clamps and clamp dogs let you securely hold a variety of materials. Connect multiple Pegasus work tables together to create a unique and versatile work area.”
But there’s more. With thoughtful design, there’s built-in storage nooks to hold small items while working, molded-in measuring guides, and the aluminum channels for the included quick clamps can actually be used to support some non-construction related materials… like when I use our Pegasus as a portable version of my Toy Testing Facility. In one of my latest videos, I threw down some thoughts on the holiday season while showing how the WORX Pegasus became a new tool for my own productivity:
That’s right – I’ve been using the WORX Pegasus not only for DIY projects and around-the-house duties (like decorating the outside for Christmas), but also to bring my photo studio into other rooms. That recent Ralph Breaks the Internet toy feature I did? Shot the photos on the Pegasus.
Even The Rock Daughters™ have been in on the action, filming videos themselves while using the Pegasus as a base of operations. If I was crafty, the possibilities would be endless. And no doubt when I start working on further home improvements next year, there’s gonna be some saw dust flying as I use the Pegasus for measuring and cutting! It’s 100% Rock Father approved!
