PRONG is one of my Top Five Favorite Bands of All-Time - a fact I feel necessary to point out every single time I have news from them to share. Now, ahead of their spring touring activities (including dates with HELMET and Powerflo), the crew over at SPV/Steamhammer has unleashed the latest music video from PRONG... "Forced into Tolerance."  The track comes from their latest album, Zero Days. See the new video via Blabbermouth below, and crank it up loud!

At the National Science Teachers Association Conference in Atlanta, GA, a surprise announcement was made about a new initiative that will bring something that truly rocks into schools. OK Go has partnered with The Playful Learning Lab to launch the OK Go Sandbox, a program that will provide classrooms around the world with an incredible assortment of content to use alongside the band's music videos for an artistic, STEAM-based experience.

It's been two years since PRODUCT OF HATE released their debut album, BURIED IN VIOLENCE via Napalm Records. Three years of touring (they started the cycle a year prior to the album's release), a few singles, five music videos, a live video and a lyric video later, and we're nearing news on their second album. I'm beyond partial to the band as I co-manage them and have served as director/editor on the aforementioned five videos - and even though the second album is on the way (Shhh! Recording was just completed!), people are still discovering the first one. Having been asked for "playthrough videos" for awhile now, we grabbed some footage from the archives and put together a bass playthrough for "Kill. You. Now." This is four minutes of Mark Campbell going to town on his six-string bass, as pulled from the raw footage from when we shot the original video. Check out the "Slappin' da Bass" version below. Thanks, Paul Rudd!

Fellow "Rock Father" and long goatee enthusiast Leo Moracchioli can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned. The owner of Norway's Frog Leap Studios continues to crank out the creatively-crafted metal covers and accompanying videos each week, and this week he's come upon something very important to me... The Muppet Show. Heard at the beginning of The Muppet Show during its original run from 1976-1981, The Muppet Show Theme Song is an iconic piece of the Jim Henson legacy, and 40+ years later it's still finding new life. While Ok Go's version might be the most famous cover thus far, Leo's version brings the heavy to the scene. Watch the video and crank it up!

I don't often do the HIGH FIDELITY-style "Top Five" lists, but I do know who my Top Five Musical Artists of All-Time are. These bands are ones that are always in the daily rotation, and today comes a big surprise - that two of my top five are going on a co-headline tour this spring. HELMET & PRONG. Both bands came up in NYC, bursting from the CBGB scene, and when I saw each of them live for the first time, it was in a location far from... Davenport, Iowa in the early 90s. Since then, I've seen each many times, in several cities, with both bands going through numerous lineup changes. Check out the official announcement below!

On March 23, 2018, JOHNNY “CHOPS” RICHARDSON will release his sophomore album, JOHNNY CHOPS AND THE RAZORS (pre-order now via Pledge Music). Currently on-tour as a member of the Randy Rogers Band  (his "day job"), Johnny's been filling the gaps in the schedule by releasing new singles and videos, while looking ahead to a busy year on the road. THE ROCK FATHER™ Magazine recently caught up with Johnny to get an overview of where he's been and where he's headed, along with an early listen to some new songs from JOHNNY CHOPS AND THE RAZORS!
