12 STONES returns with a new take on “World So Cold,” revisiting the band’s 2006 track with updated production and a featured vocal from LYRIC NOEL.

Released via Judge & Jury Records in partnership with SV Records, the track marks the band’s second outing with the label. Producer Howard Benson — whose credits include DAUGHTRY, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, SKILLET, and FLYLEAF — brings a modern edge while preserving the weight of the original.

An accompanying video, directed by Michael Levine, builds on that tone. The visual centers on a character split between anger and emotional strain, reinforcing the song’s core themes.

“‘World So Cold’ is a song I wrote about my view of the world,” says frontman Paul McCoy. “I wrote this song almost 20 years ago about how messed up the world seemed to me. I can honestly say that I don’t feel like it’s gotten any better over the last 20 years… The song is about believing in hope in hopeless times.”

NOEL adds, “I was incredibly honored that out of all the singers out there, they chose me to be part of the re-release of ‘World So Cold.’ … Being part of this new chapter of ‘World So Cold’ alongside 12 Stones is something I’m truly grateful for.”

Nearly two decades later, the message lands with the same weight and a sharper edge.
