Bowling For Soup has officially hit a major milestone — more than 1 billion streams on Spotify. The pop punk veterans, formed in Wichita Falls, Texas, in 1994, have spent three decades turning every gig into a party.
“I was completely blown away when I found out we had hit 1 Billion Streams,” says frontman Jaret Reddick. “I am very in touch with what is happening with BFS at all times, but this wasn’t even in the realm of things I would have considered. My wife sent me a screen shot of a Facebook post declaring we had hit this insane milestone and asked ‘is this real.’ Haha…I was like ‘I have no idea!’ Turns out, it is. Crazy. It’s definitely a testament to the loyalty of our amazing fanbase. We are very blessed.”
The band — Reddick, Gary Wiseman, and Rob Felicetti — is currently touring with Simple Plan, 3OH!3, and LØLØ. Over the years, hits like “1985” (originally penned by SR-71), “Girl All The Bad Guys Want,” and “High School Never Ends” cemented BFS as pop culture fixtures, from chart success to TV themes like Jimmy Neutron and Phineas and Ferb.
Even after longtime guitarist Chris Burney’s retirement in 2025, Bowling For Soup’s energy remains. As they put it: “You can’t replace a legend.”
