Halloween just got louder. Musician, actor, and horror legend Courtney Gains — forever etched in fright history as Malachai from Children of the Corn — is back with a new single, “Fear the Boogie.”
The hook-heavy rock anthem is a sinister earworm built for spooky season, co-written and produced with Peruvian guitarist and producer Wal for the upcoming horror flick Barn III, starring Gains alongside Kelly Maroney (Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Chopping Mall). Drums were tracked by Toni Mateos, an acclaimed session drummer known for his work across rock, pop, and film.
Gains and Wal previously collaborated on “Wander and Dream” for Marshes to Mountains: Savannah, GA Helps Rebuild Western NC Through Song, a benefit album raising funds for hurricane recovery efforts. That chemistry is headed for a full-length album in 2026.
“Fear the Boogie” hits streaming platforms on October 31. Follow Courtney Gains on Spotify for updates.
