What a wonderful time we live in. Yesterday started off as a simple Friday, but by the end of the day there was a new album from CLUTCH, a new single from KILLING JOKE, and a surprise new single from the mighty PRONG. Three of my favorite bands, indeed – but that PRONG (one of my Top Five Favorite Bands of All-Time) single was a shining cherry on top of an already fantastic week here at Rock Father HQ. “Ultimate Authority” was released on the eve of PRONG’s North American Tour with DANZIG, which kicks-off tonight in Tempe, Arizona, and finds PRONG frontman Tommy Victor doing double-duty, as he also serves as Glenn Danzig’s longtime guitar player. “Ultimate Authority” is the first single from PRONG’s new studio album, X (No Absolutes) to be released worldwide January 29, 2016 on Steamhammer/SPV.
“Ultimate Authority” made its debut via Spotify (a service I still refuse to use), and is currently available for download on iTunes (where I purchased mine) – a truly crushing and worthy track to stand alongside some of PRONG’s best works.
