The Dave Mustaine Collection is expanding.

Gibson just dropped the curtain on the limited-edition Dave Mustaine Flying V EXP Rust In Peace guitar. Gibson’s expert luthiers collaborated directly with the Megadeth main man to create the new guitar which comes in a shred-ready Alien Tech Green finish.

The new guitar is inspired by Megadeth’s 1990 epic, Rust In Peace, the album that spawned the metal classics, “Hangar 18” and “Holy Wars… The Punishment Due.”

Dave Mustaine Flying V EXP Rust In Peace Guitar specs:

  • 25.5” scale mahogany neck
  • Ebony fretboard with a compound fretboard radius
  • 24 medium jumbo frets
  • Two-tone green/pearloid Rust In Peace diamond inlays
  • Explorer-style headstock with Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners with Kidney buttons, a Graph Tech nut, and Dave Mustaine’s signature on the truss rod cover
  • Tune-O-Matic bridge
  • Stop Bar tailpiece
  • Dave Mustaine signature Seymour Duncan Thrash Factor pickup set
  • Alien Tech Green nitrocellulose lacquer finish is complemented
  • Black chrome hardware accents

A Rust In Peace custom hardshell case is also included, with a Dave Mustaine Signature Richter Strap inside.
