I distinctly recall someone in my family – perhaps my Father, maybe even a Grandfather – having a bottle of two of BRITISH STERLING around when I was a kid. After all, when your brand sells over 50 Million units in the 1970s, it’s bound to show up somewhere. Even Lynn Tilton, CEO of Patriarch Partners, the New York-based private equity firm that owns Dana Fragrances agrees, “For years British Sterling could be found in almost every household across America.” For 2014, BRITISH STERLING is back – sleeker, and better than ever with a pair of NEW fragrances – H.I.M. “Reserve,” and H.I.M. “Private Stock.” What is “H.I.M.,” you ask? H.I.M. is short for ‘His Imperial Majesty’ – a subtle nod to King George VI who was one of only a few British Royals to hold that title and who’s military background led him to work tirelessly to strengthen the image and resolve of England after World War II. With Rock Father’s Day approaching, Dana Fragrances and THE ROCK FATHER have teamed up to deliver some BRITISH STERLING.

Brooke up there? I like her style. The only “boss” I have is myself, so I no longer have to blackmail or torture, but I do make “Sterling Choices.” Funny thing is, I’m fragrance-sensitive, and it is beyond rare to find a fragrance that’s agreeable not only to me, but to my wife.

While BRITISH STERLING H.I.M. is available now at stores like Walmart, one lucky reader will score a bottle of each (MSRP $24.99 per 3.8oz bottle)!

The Inspiration Behind BRITISH STERLING H.I.M.

In 1947, His Imperial Majesty (H.I.M.) King George VI challenged the Secret Intelligence Service (S.I.S.) to strengthen Britain’s image by making British Agents and Diplomats more masculine, confident, and influential.   The S.I.S. subsequently launched a training program some called “Project Sterling” to improve intelligence, decision-making, personal values, and manners.  The goal was to define a clear code of conduct to provide competitive advantage.   Inspired by the program’s original objectives, H.I.M. fragrances capture the masculine sensibilities of the era, with modern fragrances that represent the spirit of today’s man.
