On January 24, families will be introduced to CAT DOORMAN, the alter-ego of Portland indie musician, mom, and artist, Julianna Bright. CAT DOORMAN SONGBOOK (set for release via Night & Day Studios, Burnside Distribution) features a collection of 14 songs (12 of which are original compositions) that are said to “celebrate the uniqueness, potential and power of every child.”
Cat Doorman’s transmedia element will also launch with Night & Day Studios’ Little Red Wagon App, an interactive iOS application for children based around Bright’s version of the classic tune and also made from hundreds of Bright’s hand-painted illustrations.
Cat Doorman Songbook features Bright’s vocals and percussion, alongside contributions from Chris Funk (Decemberists), Seth Lorinczi (Corin Tucker Band), Annalisa Tornfelt (Black Prairie) and members of Golden Bears, Bright’s Portland based indie band.
