The folks at Comedy Central are kicking off the New Year right with a quartet of new comedy albums (and DVDs) from some fantastic comics. Among the new releases on the way are Anthony Jeselnik Caligula CD and DVD – January 15th; Chris Hardwick Mandroid CD and DVD – January 22nd; Amy Schumer Mostly Sex Stuff digital download and DVD January 29th; a and Eugene Mirman An Evening of Comedy from a Fake Underground Laboratory on CD/DVD – February 5th.  Preview content from all four releases via the widget below!

Comedy Central’s Emmy-nominated notorious roast specialist and rising star brings his signature dark and twisted point of view to his new special Caligula. Set to release just a few weeks before the premiere of Anthony’s new weekly Comedy Central series. The once dubbed “satanic prince of stand-up” routinely goes where few comedians would even consider going, saying things most wouldn’t even dare, without any hesitation. Jeselnik’s upcoming TV show will premiere on February 19th

The Nerdist himself, Chris Hardwick, celebrates all things nerdy in his first Comedy Central special. Hipsters beware: there is no irony in Chris’s affinity for Captain Picard, Comic-Con and the Atari 2600. Mandroid features candid comedy tales that cover virginity, chess club, shark vaginas, awkward childhood, awkward adulthood (which in this case is an extension of awkward childhood) and a myriad of other topics which may or may not include Quidditch. This extended and uncensored DVD is a wonderland of discovery, and if you take but on like lesson from it, let it be, “Don’t f**k animals.’

Nothing is off limits for Amy Schumer in her first original one-hour stand-up special. Before a live audience at the historical Fillmore in San Francisco, Schumer airs every hilarious, messed-up detail of her dating and sex life, from encounters with unexpected body parts to hate-filled personal grooming appointment. In her matter-of-fact raunchy style, at odds with her self-described “Cabbage Patch Kid” appearance, Schumer tells stories of a boyfriend who makes dirty requests over dinner, the way she outsmarts her birth control, and shocking ending to a seemingly innocent cab ride. Popularly known as the voice of “Gene Belcher” on the animated comedy Bob’s Burgers, Eugene was named America’s #1 Noticer by Standup Magazine four years in a row (not true — he made up that magazine). In his first one-hour Comedy Central special, “Eugene Mirman: An Evening of Comedy in a Fake, Underground Laboratory,” Mirman tells stories, holds up pieces of paper, and gets people in the audience to pee on each other with a simple glance (this is the second and last lie). He doesn’t care what it says here and is wiggle wiggle poddle wee wee lollipop.
