This article is more than 9 years old and may not have been updated since our last site redesign. It may contain outdated information or could be missing images.

This past Thursday night, I felt as if I were 15 again. My wife and I attended the sold-out FAITH NO MORE concert at Chicago’s Concord Music Hall, where Riot Fest presented the return of FAITH NO MORE to the Windy City. For those of you that read this site regularly, you may already know that if not for my first-ever interview with FNM back in 1992 during the ANGEL DUST Tour, it’s entirely possible that my life could’ve taken an entirely different path. Now, 18 years after their previous release, ALBUM OF THE YEAR, the band is back with SOL INVICTUS, their first effort since re-forming in 2009. Today, NPR is streaming the album in-full, one week ahead of it’s May 19 release here in the United States. Check it out via the embedded player below…

It’s an exciting time to be a FAITH NO MORE fan, as the new album is coming with a promotional push that the band rightfully deserves. They’ll be appearing on THE TONIGHT SHOW with JIMMY FALLON this Wednesday, May 13th, and May 18-19 with bring an appearance on LAST CALL with CARSON DALY.

As for fans in Chicago (and elsewhere) that may have been disappointed by missing out on a chance to see the band live – more tour dates should be announced in the near future, including their September return to Chicago, which the band revealed at the close of their Concord Music Hall performance. Keep your eyes on the Riot Fest website, folks – and be sure to support the festival in their efforts to continue at Chicago’s Humboldt Park!

Additionally, while they are not band-sanctioned releases, the folks at Rhino are re-issuing two classic FNM albums on June 9th, with 2CD Deluxe Editions of 1989’s THE REAL THING and 1992’s ANGEL DUST.
