Alt-rockers The Nearly Deads have launched a PledgeMusic campaign to help fund their forthcoming EP, scheduled for release in January 2017. Running from through 1/15/17, the campaign will provide fans with one-of-a-kind merchandise and experiences, including exclusive opportunities to interact with the band. Starting at $10 for a download of the new EP and an “Access Pass” to all Pledge-only updates, offers include signed merchandise (CDs, vinyl, posters, drum sticks), a “Zombie” bundle (a knowing nod to their fans, who are referred to as “zombies”), Skype hangouts, “Band” hangouts, personal “birthday” wishes, acknowledgement in the credits, song collaborations, an elaborate “Nearly Deads Scrapbook” (only two are being produced) and custom lyric art by singer Theresa Jeane. One lucky fan can even pledge to “Name the EP.”

In conjunction with each pledge, fans will get an instant download of a brand new song entitled, “My Evil Ways,” which finds the band showcasing a more aggressive guitar-fueled sound that echoes the band’s break through hit “Never Look Back,” which has amassed 7.5 million views on YouTube.

“My Evil Ways is a song about accepting yourself as you truly are. It’s about that liberating moment where you finally find your tribe; the people just like you who make you feel accepted and appreciated. We hope our fans can come to our shows and feel that way,” remarked Ms. Jeane in between takes at a recent rehearsal. “We are so excited to finally show our fans what we’ve been working on. The songs are harder, heavier, and better than ever. With PledgeMusic, we are hoping to fund the completion of the EP, more videos, and, of course, more tours so we can come meet all of our amazing fans out there! None of this would be possible without your support, so thank you!”

“My Evil Ways” will be the first new music made available to fans since the quintet issued an emotionally charged rendition of Ellie Goulding’s “Holding On For Life” earlier this year. The forthcoming 6-song EP, co-produced with Jon King, will be the band’s third overall (Self-Titled, Survival Guide) and the follow-up to their critically-acclaimed debut album, Invisible Tonight, which idobi Radio lauded for its infectious “pop hooks with a  rock edge” while HeadRush TV applauded the ferocity of its “hard-hitting rock and roll.”

Fresh from a raucous hometown show at Exit/In, the group will soon announce an extensive fall national tour, their first since a U.S. trek with American metal band In This Moment.
