It’s been a couple of weeks since I last posted an update on our Gardening Adventures here at Rock Father HQ, and the reason is simple: We’ve been busy! The weather has finally cracked (though it’s dreary today) so the veggies are in the ground. We’ve also done some flower gardening (more on that later), but let’s take a quick look at what we’ve planted for 2012 on the edible front…

Raised Garden #1
Tomatoes
Green Pepper
Hot Pepper
Herbs –
Basil, Oregano, Chives, Cilantro, Dill, Lavender
Raised Garden #2
Lettuce (assorted)
Spinach
Rainbow Swiss Chard
Green Onions
Carrots
The Children’s Garden
1 Growums Pizza Garden
1 Winterborn Kale
Misc
Cucumbers
Watermelon
Sweet Corn
Madan Bride Corn
With a big assortment planted, it’s been a little irritating that the weather has been so erratic. Certain varieties are having a tough go of it this season, and some plants may even be “stunted.” The salad garden looks great, though!
And how about the Rock Father Pumpkin Patch? More on that in a separate entry… stay tuned!
