From the Press Release: Filmed at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA, Lights Out includes a one hour stand-up special, which debuts on Comedy Central on April1st, plus an additional 15 minutes of material not included in that broadcast. In the one hour special, Koy explains why he feels sleep is a near-death experience, why his son will associate the image of his naked father with an earthquake and what will help avoid the agony of parenthood.
The Lights Out bonus features bring viewers to Koy’s Las Vegas hometown, where he pays a visit to his mother aka “DJ Josephine” at her radio show and stops by the site of his first stand-up performance. The extended content also allows viewers to get an intimate backstage pass to the show with Koy and his friends in “Jo Koy: All Access”.
Following his 2009 debut, Don’t Make Him Angry, Lights Out marks Koy’s second Comedy Central special. The comedian has been featured on the network’s series “Live at Gotham,” “Premium Blend” and “Comedy Central Presents.” He has also appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Last Call with Carson Daly,” “BET’s Comic View” and “Jamie Foxx Presents: Laffapalooza.”
