SKINLAB is back — and not easing into anything.
The San Francisco Bay Area groove metal mainstay returns April 10 with a reworked version of HATEBREED’s “Last Breath,” pulling the 1997 classic from Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire and dragging it deep into SKINLAB’s signature low-end assault. No note-for-note run here. Heavier, thicker, and built for now, the track lands with impact.

Ulrich Wild — whose resume includes PANTERA, STATIC-X, WHITE ZOMBIE, and DEFTONES — handles production, mixing, and mastering, giving the track a modern punch without stripping away its raw edge.
The release also marks a new chapter for the band, introducing guitarist Angelo Miles on his first recorded outing with SKINLAB. He joins Steev Esquivel, Marcos Melina, and Fabian Vestod in a lineup that leans fully into the band’s groove-driven DNA.
The band hits the road supporting EXHORDER on The Tour of Unsound Minds, an 18-date stretch tearing through the East Coast and Midwest beginning April 2. The single lands April 10, right in the middle of the run, with a release-day show set for Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

New blood, a heavier swing, and a classic track rebuilt for impact — SKINLAB is moving again, and it hits like it means it.
And I know a few things about SKINLAB, having edited the tour trailer for the band’s 2017 headline run with PRODUCT OF HATE and IKILLYA. Talk about a throwback!
