While parenting is where THE ROCK FATHER™ Magazine is rooted, there is a distinct connection between parenthood and nuptuals for my wife and I. As some of you may know, our first daughter, Adalyn was born on our 10th wedding anniversary. Aside from perhaps Luke Skywalker making the perfect shot at the end of Star Wars, I can’t think of another example of more perfect timing. Exactly one decade prior to becoming “The Rock Father,” I was having my first dance with my new bride. Funny enough, the wedding party entered the reception to John Williams’ “Throne Room/End Titles” from Star Wars, but our first dance was to the Tony Bennett version of “The Way You Look Tonight” – a song I’d actually perform myself on 2004’s Remakes & Sequels EP by Saturday Action Theatre (very “emo”). So what are newlyweds dancing to in 2017? To find out, here’s a look at what was popular last year, as provided by the folks at The Knot, who gathered data while putting together their 10th Annual “Real Weddings” Study. Here’s the list…

The site was a long way from existing when my wife and I were married, but The Knot now says that their wedding resources are “trusted by 8 out of 10 couples in the U.S.” Sure beats the phone book.
